Cooper Wriston is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon specializing in medical, surgical, and skin cancer dermatology. With more than a decade of experience caring for patients across a variety of healthcare settings, Dr. Wriston is dedicated to providing personalized, evidence-based care focused on prevention, early detection, and long-term skin health.

Dr. Wriston earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Virginia before receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the University of North Carolina Health System and went on to complete his dermatology residency at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, where he served as Chief Resident. He later earned board certification in both Dermatology and Micrographic Dermatologic Surgery through the American Board of Dermatology.

Throughout his career, Dr. Wriston has provided comprehensive dermatologic care in both academic and private practice settings, including leadership roles with Mayo Clinic Health System, Sanford Health, and Sona Dermatology. He has extensive experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of skin conditions and is highly skilled in skin cancer detection, surgical dermatology, and Mohs micrographic surgery.

Dr. Wriston has a particular interest in skin cancer prevention, early detection, and the treatment of high-risk skin cancers. He is experienced in performing Mohs surgery and a variety of reconstructive procedures, helping patients achieve excellent outcomes while preserving both function and appearance.

His medical dermatology services include the diagnosis and treatment of acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, rashes, hair loss, skin infections, and other common and complex skin conditions. He also performs comprehensive skin cancer screenings and evaluations for new, changing, or concerning lesions.
