About
Heidi Mullen, DO, FAAD, FAOCD
Heidi Mullen, DO, FAAD, FAOCD, was born and raised in Southern California where she enjoyed spending time making sandcastles at the beach, fixing up cars with her dad, and backpacking in the Sierra Nevadas with her family. After graduating from University of California San Diego with a B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, she was recruited by a local biotechnology firm, where she enjoyed building customer relationships and bringing novel pharmaceuticals to Phase I-III clinical trials. Ever the adventurer, during this time she climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro with her family, making it to the summit just as the sun was rising. Ever since she was a child, she always knew she wanted to become a physician, and ultimately achieved her dream when she matriculated at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Even as a first-year medical student, she had a passion for skin and volunteered at many skin cancer awareness events throughout the Valley of the Sun. She was awarded entrance to Sigma Sigma Phi Honor Medical Society as a third-year medical student. She matched into Dermatology at HonorHealth in Phoenix, one of the largest healthcare systems in Arizona, after spending her internship year in general surgery at a Level I trauma center as well as the Arizona Burn Center, serving third degree burn patients from the Southwest United States. She had the honor to serve as chief resident in her final year. Dr. Mullen lives along the Seacoast with her husband and preschool twin boys. When she is not working, her favorite past time is spending time with them and her beloved extended family in Arizona.
